These metals also lend themselves well to the making of modern style wedding rings. Silver although softer, can be cast into a many styles whereas titanium, zirconium and steel are generally limited to band type wedding rings.
This does not limit designs though and the number or styles are limitless especially with access to a laser engraver which means you can have just about anything you like on the ring. It is really all down to personal taste but there are now many alternatives to the plain gold wedding rings that were the norm many years ago.
